MUST READ: LPC Reminders/Updates – 29th July 2020

Dear colleague
You will surely have received the PSNC Daily Update below directly.
However, I wanted to ensure you have not missed reading it and the very important points of:
1) Additional cohorts for flu vaccinations this year (phased approach to the age groups being vaccinated on a priority basis of 65+ early and 50 – 64 year olds from November….
2) The second window is now open for submission of progress on completion of individual staff Covid-19 risk assessments — this is extremely important alongside the rest of the parameters to meet for claiming the PQS Part 1 payments — DONT MISS OUT on these as if you do, you will not be eligible for Part 2 also!
Please also note the following important updates –
  • MAS interim extension to the end of August 2020
    • We hope to be able to confirm a longer extension to the service shortly. We are just awaiting confirmation from NCL CCG.
  • MRD Venalink funding
    • NCL CCG are to continue funding the venalink consumables until October 2020 with NHSE London continuing to pay the service elements of this scheme.
    • There has been a delay in actioning the funding with venalink which has resulted in contractors being unable to obtain free supplies under the scheme. This will be remedied shortly. We are negotiating to mitigate for delay in instigating this funding.
  • Vaccination Briefing
    • Please see attached information on getting ready for the flu vaccination service. Although we are still waiting for a significant amount of information e.g. service specification, national PGD and PPE guidance, Pharmacy London LPCs believe that contractors will benefit now from receiving as much confirmed information as possible. As soon as  further details become available, they will be sent out to London pharmacies.
